Description, Materials & Care
The Pillow-Fight TKO Mattress™ was designed to provide great pressure relief with the ideal support for a full night’s sleep while maximizing the sensation of sleeping on a cloud. The mattress stays cool as well. We use heat wicking graphite in our Pillow-Fight Hypnoflow™ Sleep System and our plush grounding cover is extremely breathable to keep you comfortable throughout the night.
Equipped with a zipper cover that can be removed to be washed in the event of any accidents. We recommend spot cleaning it when needed. We suggest using a small amount of mild detergent and water and gently dabbing the cover, rather than rubbing it. Make sure the cleaned area is completely dry before placing sheets and blankets back on the mattress.

How does the Pillow-Fight Mattress feel?

What are the firmness ratings on the TKO?
Firmness is rated on a 1-10 scale, with over 80% of mattresses sold globally ranking somewhere between 5-7 on the traditional scale. The medium-plush selection earns a 5 on the firmness scale, while the medium-firm earns a 6.5. The graphite foam top layer feels plush to the touch, but is a special graphite-infused reactive memory foam that fully supports even large bodied individuals. Both TKO mattress builds are optimized for all sleep positions so it really does come down to preference, although we recommend the medium-firm build for majority back and combo sleepers.
Does the TKO mattress work well with an adjustable bed frame?
Our mattresses work well with adjustable frames, and we highly recommend them for an optimal sleep experience. You will not damage the mattress with an adjustable frame, the foams will always return to their original shape. However, it is best to keep the base in a flat position when not in use to allow the mattress to return to its standard form. Therapeutic Grounding Cover
It's science folks. We are surrounded by electronics all day. Our plush, cooling, comfortable top layer is infused with soft, anti-static, grounding fibers that dissipate the electromagnetic radiation we absorb everyday. This helps decrease cortisol levels and improve quality of sleep.
Graphite-Infused Comfort Layer
This plush comfort layer uses graphite based, open cell latex-like reactive foam. Graphite is a natural thermal conductor, so it wicks away heat to keep you sleeping cool. The open-cell technology allows for maximum airflow through the top foam layer of the Hypnoflow™ Sleep System.
Memory-Foam Adaptive Layer
This memory foam provides additional pressure-relief that contours to your body and relieves back, hip and shoulder pressure. It is also ventilated to provide airflow up through the open-cell, graphite comfort layer.
Comfort Transition Layer
A medium density foam layer with an open, contoured bottom to create the air tunnels necessary for the Hypnoflow™ Sleep System. Your natural body weight and movements work to push air through the tunnels, which then moves through this ventilated layer, the ventilated memory foam layer, and the open-cell, graphite top layer. This layer is the foundation layer for the Hypnoflow™ Sleep System.
Very High Density Base Layer
The base is very important to ensure you have optimum support! We have used a base that is 50% more dense than most of our competitors, so you'll experience ultimate support beneath those plush top layers. This is very similar in support to an "old-school" coil mattress, but coincides nicely with our Therapeutic Grounding Technology, allowing that layer to effectively dissipate electromagnetism.

Some Like it Firm ... Some Like it Plush...
Look no further than our founders for this age old battle. Shelby likes medium firm ... Charles likes medium plush. Since we're both married, our thoughts on this matter are largely irrelevant, thus we both sleep on the Pillow-Fight TKO™ Medium Firm. As mentioned earlier, over 80% of the mattresses sold globally fit in the medium plush to medium firm range on the traditional firmness scale. But medium firm is the dominant percentage even in that majority. The truth is, our mattresses are both designed to support all sleep positions, so it really is just simple preference. We are confident that you will love either build, given about 30 nights to adjust to your new mattress, but we include a 100 night sleep trial just for good measure. That said, the data says ... if you're primarily a back or combination (multiple sleep positions) sleeper you will likely prefer medium firm. If you are a strict side sleeper, you will likely prefer medium plush. Hope we help you get this right, but if not ... that's what the sleep trial is for ... we are happy to exchange for you!

We welcome the research! We don't know of any competitors that are offering 12" mattresses with this many layers and this kind of sleep technology at this price point. Not even close! We set out to make the most comfortable bed-in-a-box at an affordable price point and we are delighted with our results!
Our Commitment to the Environment
Our mattresses are derived from 100% soybean-based memory and reactive foams. The foam industry has long been one of the least environmentally friendly industries in the world. We knew this had to change. Soybean-based foam is far more sustainable and much better environmentally than the foams produced by most of our competition. It's a higher cost to Pillow-Fight, but never a question for us.
Boxed Mattress vs. The "Old School"
We know people are still skeptical that a mattress that comes in a box can be just as comfortable (or even more comfortable) than a traditional/old school mattress. We know, because we were skeptics until we set out to do it. Admittedly, it wasn't easy to get something that met our comfort, coolness, and support standards, particularly while maintaining our environmental standards, but we did it.
